At last year's Carfest south I was taken up their hill by 2x British Rally Champion Russell Brookes, in an Ascona 400... you'd never quite believe that this "little old man" could make a car dance as he did.
A real gentleman - as we were amongst the first up the hill we had 45 minutes sitting together in the car, chatting with a hero from my teenage years, who I saw racing the same type of car in the Trossachs Rally. You had a ride with one of the best.He wasnt always a little old man, he was just a little man with a big talent.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Back in the late '80s I was lucky enough to have a passenger ride with my heroine, Michelle Mouton in her T16 at a 205GTI gathering. I was mesmerised by the dancing of her feet on the pedals.....utterly stunning experience.
So....co-driving with Mario at Caramulo at the weekend was relaxing.....and I wasn't tempted to try chatting him up!
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!
