Nice job Dave.
Have you done a tea tray rattle test? ie drive over some rough road to see if it induces any metallic flexion noise that could drive you bonkers on a long trip.

It wasn't rattling against other objects that washers would solve that I was concerned about, but being a large expanse of thin sheet metal being induced into a wobble board, or with heat it buckling with heat like a oven tray does when hot, if it did it could rub against Dave's paintwork - I may seem overly cautious but Dave would kick himself if that happened, hopefullly all will be good.

Arrived Salisbury. No rattles no issues. But four hours of heavy rain......... The cover worked well. And the throttle damper also worked well.  Oh and hardly any leaks.......

Inspired by you Dave.
Just had a gander under the Roadster bonnet, wow! there isn't much room, the leading corner of the air filter box has about 1/4" clearance.
The GDI engine bay is positively spacious by comparison.
