The clutch is definitely not a Mazda part. I have an old compensator, flywheel, pressure plate and clutch disc on the shelf in the garage. The flywheel bolts to the backside of the Centra Compensator and the pressure plate/clutch disc are bolted to the flywheel. It seems to sized right and looks to be adequately robust for this application. It is a smaller, lighter unit then what is in my Miata.

Took my daughter out for a while to make up for not taking her to school in it. Came home, put it in the garage and turned it off, heard, "go again", turned it back on and went back out.

The kids love it. My daughter cried when she found out we weren't taking the M3W to school this morning.

I plan on driving her to/from school next week if there's a nice day for it.
Anyone have any tips for backing up and setting the side mirrors?
I normally set car mirrors so I see just a bit of the side of the car on the inside. Works well to let me know that I've got them at about the same viewing angle. Not going to work in this case.
Which is why I have trouble backing up. I normally do this with mirrors instead of turning around. Turning around puts me in a very odd position that doesn't seem to help much in the m3w.
I like backing into the garage so that when I get home at the end of the day and park my daily just outside the garage I'll get the unveiling all over again when I raise the door.

They are a difficult car to back up but it does get easier with experience. I have my mirrors set the same as you but remember due to the body shape the mirrors are turned in a bit compared to a regular car. So when you think you are backing up straight you are probably at an angle. I also find it quite difficult to sense where the back of the car is when reversing so either use the front wheels to line up with the vehicle next to me or stop short, get out and push it the last bit.

Since it's my garage and not even visible to my neighbors, I can do all kinds of things like painting on the driveway or hanging reference markers in the garage. I just need to think of a solution that will help.
I may wait a couple of weeks and see if I get better first though.

Tennis ball on a string, mark in wall or ground to line up with front wheel, wooden batten on ground to run wheel up to. I've used all of the above. To set mirrors get on a straight quiet road & set mirrors so you see a reference point in inner edge of both at a distanace to suit you.

Tim The last idea gave me the thought of parking my normal car behind me and adjusting down the sides of it. I'll give that a try.
