As Ken said, ride the Million Dollar Highway from Ouray to Durango in Colorado, sheer box canyon cliffs with no guard rail. I'm scared of heights but still managed it on a motorcycle. When in Durango you can get a ticket to ride in the steam locomotive cab from Durango to Silverton, about a 3.5 hour ride. They will even let you shovel the coal. Locomotive ride is $1000, but worth it, they need a days notice to get your overalls. Enjoy. Wish I could meet you there. I will be on Amtrak mid-October.
When I bought my 3 wheeler I had a hard time finding Insurance because none of the insurance companies had it in their database. I finally got insurance from State Farm. All they wanted to know was what the vehicle was worth and then since it had a steering wheel they consider it a car, not a motorcycle.
I checked out your blog. You are finishing your trip not far from where I live in Pleasanton. I haven't done highway 1 in California in the Morgan yet but someday I will.

Interesting. I insured mine through State Farm. Initially came back as an auto policy. Two weeks later, it was replaced with a motorcycle policy which had both a lower rate, but also no medical coverage for passengers.
