Heinz, I have the Librands rollbar on my car. Polished road upper part. It has stiffened the car a bit. The upper is easy to remove and replace with the track version.
Mine was fitted by Williams and took a day and a half.
I had it fitted for peace of mind after a diesel on the road "moment".
It fits ok under my old style hood, a fellow Taffmogger also had one fitted and it fits under his easy up hood too.
The base part that comes up from the chassis is inside the rear storage area but not an issue. That part is black but can be colour matched or leather covered if needed.
No issues with it obstructing rear view either.
You may want to check the seat movement though. My seat is lowered so no interference from the headrest stopping moving the seat backwards. The passenger seat is not lowered and headrest meets the rollbar if seat is pushed right back.

Sospan,
thanks for sharing your experience. Since I'm quite tall could you tell something about the seat lowering? Isn't it mounted direct to the floor?
