Thanks Polar ! The headlamp stoneguards were installed by my dealer but you can do it yourself, from Moss Motors, $13USD the pair. As far as the waterproof leather, was not an option for me, but I wouldn't get it anyway. Leather is somewhat waterproof (repellent) to begin with. If you're concerned, a good treatment with Mink Oil, Neetsfoot Oil, etc. should be enough. I REALLY try to avoid rain !
Hi John, Haven't had to clean the leather beyond a quick wipe with a damp cloth. If I went further, I would use the aforementioned Mink Oil or Neetsfoot Oil. I really don't want to add 'shine', so I'd have to test a bit. I'm sure someone here has done so and will pipe in shortly ! Seeker
John, the leather doesn't really get very "Dirty", a quick wipe down with a damp cloth is OK, and any friction dirt a little Lexol cleaner in the orange bottle gets right up. I use...and just love...a product called "Leather Honey" which preserves and leaves a totally non greasy surface with just a touch of lustre.
If you use it, I recommend you apply it in the sun, and then put the tonneau on it to keep the heat in. Leave it overnight which facilitates it "Melting" deep into the leather. It buffs out easily.
Neatsfoot oil will darken the leather, I would not recommend it.
