Many thanks for this - the simple answer is no I haven't and they sound great - one problem would be solved. I have a 2002 4/4 which I assume is short door (or heaven help anyone with short doors if mine is long!!!). Do you know if they work on short doors too? Maybe time for a google...

Long doors came out in '97...
My '98 is definitely a bit easier then the '76. But it also has a much wider running board, which probably doesn't help...
