I took the +4 to Techniques today so that they could have a look at the suspension and check the exhaust fitting. I've not been there before but was very impressed with set up and Brian was extremely helpful & informative.

It turns out that the O/S leaf spring has collapsed, and the car is about 1.5 inches lower on that side! The springs are asymmetric Suplex and have covered about 4,500 miles so we're going to have a chat with Suplex to see what can be done... lots of options, stick with asymmetric, standard plus anti tramp, 5L...

I also met up with Cain for a coffee and had a great chat, chewing the fat over improving Morgans, what a great way to pass the time. I'll be getting some Bonnet Stays, (modified to miss the air filter) and came away with some lumbar supports, which are very easy to fit and certainly improve the seating comfort...well worth having.

An interesting comparison here.

Ok there is a slight difference in engine size and that explains some of the low down torque of the 2.5 but it is not the complete story. The 2.5 also has variable valve timing and that makes a huge difference.

Yes, must contact Chris Crane again. Have not talked to Him for a long time. I have the Rover 4.0 Gems ECU. But it looks to Me that this ECU has too many tasks, and designed for a SUV I am afraid of it. Would like a ECU especially designed for a Rover GEMS or modified for the Rover GEMS. I think the Aussies have one, but not sure.
