Morgan seem committed to the BMW V8 4.8; however, at some point, probably post SS production, I would imagine they will move to another Munich sourced power plant.

As someone mentioned above, many of the car makers are now suggesting that they can get better performance and higher MPG out of a supercharged / turbocharged V6.

The engine could be smaller, lighter and offer better performance - all things that would suit a Morgan (as long as they don't sacrifice torque).

Sometimes I wish I'd gone into engineering - as planned. I had a place at Salford Uni in 1971 and ducked out to keep my Ford Anglia on the road. thinking

But all this engineering talk gets my juices flowing, and had I been better informed at the time, developing engines would have been a great job.
Mind you I might not have got my spanners out after work, so no regrets on that score.
