Todays lunchtime BBC Midlands News hada good feature on the new EV3
Footage from the factory included Five speeders being assembled.
BUT Jon Wells commented that the EV3 does not have an engine!
Not a combustion engine Jon ...but an Electric Engine!
The car looked great ( altho the prototype did feature first) BUT at £53K!!!

And that price I fear will be it's downfall.....
Obtaining grants to help with the cost of developing and producing environmentally friendly cars is a real bonus, especially to a small car company like Morgan....but the payback surely must be that the cars then sell at an affordable price.
Affordable? Define as you will.....but £53k is likely not to be 'affordable' for a good many people.....I can't help but wonder what the application for the grant said in the 'blurb'.....but I suspect it didn't say 'a niche car, for a niche market at a price that will ensure exclusivity'. Or maybe it did....who knows?

Is the £53,000 the price for the Selfridge's limited edition or the standard one ?

The Selfridge one I understand. There's been a lot of interest.

The Selfridge package includes an exclusive range of high quality personal goods, eg gloves, jacket, bag etc.

The good news is that those who are happy to pay that price will, no doubt, not be too concerned when they come to part with it at half the price in a couple of years time. Just hope they don't wear the jacket, gloves and bag out in the meantime......

I can see how they end up at 54k since the three wheeler is 35k. And a specced up Trad cant be far away from 50k.
You can pay 30k for a Mondeo these days - same place in the market as the old Cortina was. Prices and values have changed.

All the accessories are priced separately - but can only be purchased if you buy the EV3.

The Selfridge package includes an exclusive range of high quality personal goods, eg gloves, jacket, bag etc. They are extra to the £53K because I thought they were included but when I had a chat to Steve Morris at MOG16, mentioned they are completely extra if you want them I recon the extras would cost another £8K
