Brian, I will be more than happy to tell you all about the Suffolk C Type when I get it. So far, the body has been built by Shapecraft and from the photos which are on Suffolk's web site, it's looking good. I have specified a 3.4ltr engine and the colour scheme has been confirmed by Jaguar Heritage as being correct for my plans which are to have built as near as possible (within sensible financial restrictions) a recreation of the 1952 Mille Miglia car which was driven by Stirling Moss and Norman Dewis. Jaguar broke the car up so only a few pictures exist. It will have a solid rear axle but all round disc brakes just like the '52 car. The SS100 I had was brilliant and there is a description of it somewhere on the forum if you search SS100. Asbo, I would re visit the web site and try to contact them again. Fraser is a great chap but is always dashing about and the works is very busy (they sold 3 cars at Goodwood) I know they have a couple of C Types for sale which I looked at and they are really nice. In all the years I have known Roger and Fraser, I have never got a price out of them unless I was at the works talking turkey so do book a vist, I know you will love it. It's just like Morgan but smaller.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

A c type rep is very high on my mid life crisis list.
I went to look at a company called Classic Jaguar Replicas a few years ago. They're between Reading and Newbury somewhere off the A4.
They were a father and son outfit using the Realm chassis and body combo.
The noise and sensation was like nothing else. Completely impractical in every way but absolutely fantastic.

Aeroman & Neilda,
I have had a Suffolk SS100, works built and a brilliant car. Sold it to buy a 1964 4.2 E Type S1 o.t.s. and have now sold that and am having a full aluminium works built C Type due for delivery next year. Can't wait as they are such fun. Ooooh! Can't wait to see some pics of that when you get it. Lucky lad!

Had 6 ram's over the years as well as 7 GT40 replicas ( yes I know I need help). Ram was always streets ahead. Damn nearly bought the whole project from adrian cocking a few years ago until the price quadrupled overnight.....ah well. Simon Love to hear more about each of the cars, I've had the same car obsession (non-treatable ), but for Morgan's - on my sixth Aero (a Plus 8!) with 7-Trads in the past and 1-M3W, which I mistakenly let go. Maybe a separate thread Simon with more details of your cars and the near purchase of RAM? Sounds like a great story and that last Cobra with the supercharged Jaguar engine must have been a beast! We could also get Reg (lowebird) to give more details of his Suffolk, particularly his new C-type due for delivery next year? Both Asbo, Neil and me would love to hear more of the experience. Crunchie and I share an Ultima GTR and also a Westfield FW400 (up for sale) so also have an appetite for kit cars as well as the Mog obsession... The RAM was and is a great car and the chassis is so good, and fantastic to look at. I spoke to a former RAM owner who got an original Cobra after. He told me they perform very similarly! Comparing the competition the RAM to most of the Cobra replicas they are head and shoulders better IMO. I do understand dealing with Adrian Cocking might be challenging. Perhaps his surname gives a clue, just a thought!

AsboJohn,
When I get it, you will be welcome to a ride if you are down our way. I ordered it at the end of July with an expectation of 6/8 months wait.
