A few years ago, a mate picks up a Ford Fiesta ST from a bona fide salvage auction, its Cat C due to flood damage. I helped him build it into a stage rally car. Owner did a couple of events and then sold it and it went overseas. Last year it resurfaces and the new owner gives me a ring asking about its history. I told him the history of the car, the work I did on it etc and it was built from a Cat C write off. New owner expressed concern as nothing came up on hpi search! Explained that the interior trim was long gone to the tip and engine and transmission fully rebuilt so nothing to worry about. We did everything by the book - VIC check and notifying DVLA that it was permanently exported etc

+1, you wouldn't think it would work. Mind you DVLA have lost 3 applications for the V5c for our Polo.

According to my sources the driver was ok but with 'minor' injuries.

as some of you may have guessed, this is my car.
I will tell the story in full once legal proceedings are settled, but suffice it to say, my injuries were not minor
I was off work for 3.5 months, and suffered multiple fractures and bruises. I am still not fully recovered, but will be so in due course
the car was written off by the insurers

Pleased you are ok and making a full recovery. Its a sad end to your lovely Morgan but it can be replaced in time.

Indeed, I echo Martins post, at least you are alive to tell the tale. I have to admit I feared the worst looking at the pictures of the car, it also got me thinking how strong it is, after an obviously, very heavy front end hit.
I am sure we all look forward to you regaining your full health and giving us a clue as to what happened.
All the best in your recovery.
