The Red/Orange is OAT I think, if you change the fluid make sure you flush the whole system really well , as they do not mix.
Why do you add Bars Leaks? The use of Bars Leaks was just a recommendation from a friend to prevent potential leaks and give improved lubrication to the water pump. Except for listening to this advice I have not given it too many thoughts.

+1 for the Barrs. I do it as a matter of practice when I do coolant changes.
Most car manufacturers add it as standard when cars are filled on the line, partly to lubricate water pumps etc and part to prevent warranty claims for leaks!

I may have said it many times before, and as an ex Tech manager for an oil and Lubes company you should always use the makers recommended oil / coolant / grease / additive / etc. etc. Sorry just cus a mate says use it doesn't mean its good for the vehicle. Too many company's make money by saying its "better" whilst they never tell you the downsides, just mooch around a classic car show and be cynical about the claims... The major oil company's know what is best, they spend £trillions on research into the composition of lubes. Sorry I dont mean to offend, but I could go on and on about this subject and bore for the world (and sometimes do with my tour guide colleagues at a well known Sports car manufacturer in Malvern)......

Are you really sure about the silicone? It does look a bit like a silicone hose (and swollen). If you are putting a hydrocarbon based lubricant additive in each year and the hose is not lined that may well be what is leaching through.

The hose looks like my hose from a 2006 Roadster & bulges in all the same places. I doubt Mr Morgan paid for silicone.

I doubt Mr Morgan paid for silicone.  Maybe on the top hose as it might reduce stress on the rad

Just had a look at Samco site. They state only ethylene glycol based coolant should be used with their silicone hoses.
