thats not a bad thought process an alternative 2 seater body style that could convert into a 4 seater!!
Landrover produced a commercial version on the discovery 3 and 4 that had the back seats removed to increase the load space (it also had VAT implications) - all the fittings were still there so if you wanted to add the rear seats to your "commercial" you just needed to find the seats (I am sure their were some legal implications also)
Perhaps Morgan could use the same concept and have a long wheel based version of the 2 seater that looked just like the current 4 seater and maybe an aftermarket supplier like Uncle Melvin could provide a rear seat kit.
I am sure at one stage side lights were fitted but not wired to comply with regulations so a president has already been set

This is Claudio Bardeggia's concept for a Plus 4 2+2 that we discussed on the forum some time back. Instead of rear seats it could simply have expanded luggage space and be called a Plus 4 Touring. No rear seat, no rear restraint problems. The whole rear section is handbuilt anyway so very little re-design would be required and for homologation it simply becomes a variation on the 2 seater.

Note that the rear panel is halfway between the 4 seater and the 2 seater to give more luggage space (than the 2 seater)

My first Morgan was a Plus 4 1995 4 seater which looked great when the hood was down but not quite as pretty when up. This design is much better - quite sporty in fact.
Hopefully MMC are looking! Then again, some chance!

When I had my 1986 4 seater, I always planned to have a new hood frame made to lower the rear of it. Never got round to it, of course, as I moved on to a plus 8 before I knew it........

It's all subjective but I would prefer one of these and it actually exists.
The MMC would do well to look into it as a good practical tourer.
I don't think the pink trousers are mandatory wear with one.
