I don't wear jumpers ever - herself does though and the heating went on a fortnight ago it's fully automatic and the lovely has it set for 20 morning times and 21 evening times. I have tried to "nobble" the temperature but her thermometer is too sensitive, the only time she was ever properly warm was on the 3 occasions she was expecting and that gets a little expensive.
A good puff of wind would blow her away so what can you expect.
On balance I'm happy to buy oil instead.

It's no wonder I wear shorts all year round.

As for the garden - lucky you it never stops growing here this close to the sea the grass needs doing about every 3 weeks and all the plants keep on growing but slowly.

Our hedge is all tanalised now I got fed up with that game.

Appearance fees were a bit cheaper than an early flight from Canada !

Actually my wardrobe marches backwards over the seasons.
Up to now I've never crossed work clothes with non-work clothes. But now I'm into my last 18 months I won't be buying any more work clothes, so there may be a migration until I finish. I only need one more summer out of my short sleeved shirts, and I think they will just make it.
My first 'Morgan Roadster' sweatshirt, which started off as a best/car only item is now, after eight years, my slobbing about in the house sweatshirt, along with my first ever pair of black jeans. In fact my first red polo shirt is now also a cool weather slobbing about in the house polo.
The slow deterioration of clothing over time is the clearest indicator of time passing............
Mind you, eight years from best to slobbing is pretty thrifty.

I think we need a more up-to-date photo of you for your concours article wearing your hoody, trackie bottoms and flip flops

And then Pete Segeer got hold of it in the 50's and turned it into :- Turn Turn Turn.

The Byrds made it a massive hit in 1965 on the crest of the peace protest movement at the time.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

There is no nobler act than fighting for peace - makes you think ...

profligate more like. I've just taken my old dinner jacket down to the charity shop - I got it for university in 1963. And I still occasionally wear the suits I had for work 22 years ago.

Mind you my daughter used to work at the beancounters down in the town when she had just finished college . She forgot her breakfast one day so I took a sandwich down to her office. Mid morning someone who also worked there was heard asking who the tramp was who came in earlier on. I got a talking to from junior SWMBO. blush

Philosphical not maudlin. But I agree with Ecclesiastes whoever he was. There is a pattern to life and a time for everything. Even for buying a Morgan! Or in your case a Lotus.

Cant help but think you got that sequence wrong way round. Lotus for youth Morgan for age?
