That's me up to 3000 miles in the first two months of S1 ownership. Its taken a little bit of fettling, and I am indebted to the lessons learned and the help given by the Talk Morgan family! Now that the summer is almost over the daily drive to office garage to home garage will be lower miles but I am hoping that its going to be possible to mainly use the Morgan with the Defender reserved for the really nasty days. Living in hope!

Not many posts on here lately, maybe they are all tucked up? Anyway Rosie in Blue saw daylight today, put in a few gallons with some Lucas ethanol stabiliser and then took 83 years young uncle, who's over from NZ, out for a 12 mile spin. He enjoyed it, he was surprised by the comfort and the acceleration. Sue's cousins partner then came for a ride and the grin factor was well and truly achieved.

Not many posts on here lately, maybe they are all tucked up? Impudent young man! Tarka is in almost daily use...so often that unless you want to read that I drove to Tescos, bought some food, filled the tank and then somehow it was 20 miles on the return trip, rather than 3 when taking the direct route.....So I only tak about the "Special" drives now! Back from Greenland on Thursday, so had to take the S3 out for a spin again. After a month of lying asleep under the dust cover she roared into life yesterday, and it was like driving her again for the first time. The sun was shining, so off to see a friend who'd lent me some tools a few months ago (he was very patient, and let me go on for ages about the trip - I'll post some pics and an update at the Malvern Arms shortly), then it clouded over. So run out as the rain starts, hood up, and a nice slidy blast home. It didn't rain much, just enough to make it interesting. Life can be soooo good!

I drove mine yesterday to a village pub and sat talking nonsense in the sunshine for a couple of hours with chums... I think only 2 people took a picture of the car. There's always a new rattle somewhere, I try very hard to ignore them as the car is such fun.

I and went to Hampshire in the Aero yesterday. I did not know where we were going, it was a surprise day out on our 33rd wedding anniversary. Sue gave directions as we travelled. 132 miles there, 25 cross country on some nice Devon/Somerset roads, about 80miles on dual carriageway cruising 70-80, and the rest to the first planned destination. A couple of cars took photos as we passed each other. I guessed our first destination as we got near. It was Newton Valance church where we got married all those years ago. The church was unlocked so we were able to go inside and reminis, a lovely small 13th century church, with Saxon origins. Then we sat on a bench outside opposite the pond and had a coffee from the flask we had taken and a cake. Then at 12:15 at orders off we went to destination 2, this time it was to the hostelry that used to be the Pig and Whistle on the way to East Meon, this was where we had our wedding reception. The place has been change a bit inside but still has the same feel. Surprise was my best man Chris and his wife were waiting for us to have lunch (I was also his best man 3 years after Sue and I got married). So a great lunch catching up and remembering when we were in our twenties. After the 3rd surprise was to go to our best friends in Holybourne for tea. We left at 5:30 and returned via A31 and Kings Worthy, the A34 and then back onto the A303, getting home around 8:00. We finished the day off with some bubbly and our favourite Peking Duck. A lovely day, and the Aero was perfect, averaging 30mpg.
