If you figure anything out let me know. I have some ideas myself, but am not certain what type of electrical output thing thing has for what it can support.

Don't let the snarky smartass answers get you down, I find there's a lot of heated opinion here from people who feel they know what's best for you.

My personal take on it is to have a out of sight audio system or something similar that can easily tuck into the glovebox. They don't even need a head unit to work and it can drive 27 watts RMS to the speakers or you can easily get a small stereo amp to bump it up a bit more. I plan on running mine off my phone via bluetooth where my music is anyway, so that would be fine by me.

I like the area that Q8 put the Beats Pill, that's where I was considering doing something. My hope is to get some offcuts of leather to help wrap any particular box that could be custom built to tuck into that area.

That way you can fit a fairly decent sized coaxial speaker in there and get adequate tunes out of it.

Like I said though, you'll get plenty of smartass BS telling you to get a different vehicle or that you're dumb for not thinking the exact same way they do about a three wheeler. Those people generally have nothing useful to say anyway, so don't let them bother you. Or just hit "Ignore this user" in their profile.

When you talk of stereos in Morgans you will always be subject to disparaging comments from a bunch of people who think there is something wrong with listening to music whilst in a Morgan. And let's not even mention aircon, whoops I just did. Enough to say that we have, and use both, in the Plus 4. In our rather crazy July tour of Sicily we put the hood up and the aircon on in the heat of the day

My experiences and comments are therefore based on the many long trips we have done in the Plus 4.

Firstly touring distances in Europe. Europe is not so big that 1,000 miles in a day is even possible. 600 miles on only high speed roads (Autostrada, etc) would be extremely difficult even in a fast sedan, let alone a 3 wheeler. If you want to actually see anything, meet people, eat well, and experience the life of Europe I would say you should plan on no more than 400km (240 miles), if you are using normal roads, or a maximum of 600km (360 miles) if you are using predominantly Autostrada type roads. Sure if you absolutely needed to do so you could go Berlin to Paris, 1,000km (600 miles) in a day if you had to but it would take you at least 10 hours of driving without a pause and you would be "well done" by the end of it. My advice is relax and enjoy, 10 countries in 10 days will get you the t'shirts but it will not be fun.

You don't mention when you are are planning to come but I would recommend that you avoid the Mediterranean countries in the very hot months of July and August. There is not much protection from the sun and the heat in an M3W

Now the stereo. We have music (usually MP3s) nearly all the time in the Plus 4 (throttle bodies and sports exhaust, so a bit noisy) up to about 80kph (50mph) you can hear it fine, it starts to get more difficult to hear as you approach 100kph (60mph). In other words on secondary and regional roads it is fine. At Autostrada speeds, 130kph (80mph), it can become almost impossible to hear depending on road and wind noise. I would not use any form of earphones as I believe not hearing sounds around me would be extremely dangerous.

It is difficult for me to guess from my very limited M3W experience but I could well imagine that hearing the stereo music system would become very difficult at speeds above 50mph.

i be almost a decade in AudioMobile industry, so i can say in every cars you can listen your music in acceptable condition, but that come with a price and sacrifice in term of price and/or usability example fit 16"X9" speaker in a M3W should be possible but not so simple and will took precious space in the car ...

So the question is more : are you ready to paid the price than other things

Peter - you can get earplugs with speakers in that only block out wind noise, nothing else, so you hear all the sounds you need to hear. I would argue that they are safer as ofttimes the sounds you need to hear are blocked out by wind noise!!!!!
Got mine from an audiologist about 10 years ago for use on my motorbike. Now only have the mog and use them most of the time. Don't know what brand they are, but they work!!!

I'd have to imagine someone spending the money on one of these vehicles has a bit of an idea as far as what things are going to cost.

If someone wants to come up with a clever idea to get some tunes in their vehicle, I don't see the harm in that.

People jumping on the "you're an idiot" bandwagon when they don't agree with someones opinion on what that person wants to do with their own vehicle. They add nothing to the discussion. Though I imagine it gets their post count up, so maybe that's all the reward they need.

That said as someone in the mobile audio industry what speakers would you think would fit and in what areas? The area right in front of the shifter seems like a keen little spot for something to tuck in to.

However, there are a number of places where speakers could be fitted to a M3W. I agree with greenteagod that something could be fabricated to sit on under the dash in front/on top of the transmission tunnel.

Personally, unless you are going for very long drives, I would just put some velcro on a portable bluetooth speaker (boombox). Beats and Bose make variants. Most have at least 7 hours or battery life with constant playing at moderate bass.
