We are very close to releasing the new Williams induction kit, being tested and built by ITG

Lawrie, I'm very interested and I'm wondering where you have placed the MAF sensor. I did some trial and error and I kept the length of the induction tube, opened the diameter to 60 cm (same diameter than TB) and relocated the MAF sensor closer into the direction of the TB.

Whats been taking the time is to perfect the long and short trim on fueling. ITG have a car and are currently doing final tests/designs etc

Also I'm wondering from where you/ITG receive the intake air which is not an easy task on the 4/4. The standard intake/airbox is located just behind the radiator, the intake hole is directed to the downside. I guess that some cold air comes up from underneath the radiator when she is driving..which is a positive behave. But the issue is that when you drive faster than 60 mp/h the air flow becomes weaker. Another issue is, that this construction only works ok if the environmental air temperature is less than ca.12 degrees celsius.
Perhaps you catch the air from above the radiator through the grill?

I have a K+N in the standard airbox on my 2014 4/4..I have one of cains lower front spoilers fitted and use the brake duct inlets to channel the ram air into a homemade collector box sited on the cross frame and then into the airbox...works well.

With many thanks to Roger-Cheshire i now have a K&N air filter installed. More fiddly to fit than i imagined due to a hidden air-box lid screw - double joined fingers would help!
Result? Its difficult to determine exactly what improvement it gives - not that much i suspect, however the already keen to rev Sigma seems even more responsive - i suspect the gains are greater when revs are high.
Having followed Rogers advice by also fitting the lebrands side exit exhaust at the same time i must agree 100% that for less than £100 these small, easily reversed, additions add greatly to the car.

Andy, I'm so pleased that you feel as I did. It was amazing how much more responsive it felt. If you haven't done already, fill up with 98 octane and thrash it to within an inch of its life! That also made a difference and was a pay as you go improvement!

Alas i always have used the high octane juice, as for thrashing it i still need practice! Its only just turned 4k miles and i have been running it in progressively. Lately, once fully warmed up, i have been opening it up in the lower gears and am amazed just how well it gets down the road. The Sigma engine is a superb little firecracker of an engine and a delight to work through the gears-even more so with that side exit pipe!

They much prefer being thrashed than driven like a vicar! They're used to be raced so no worries there. As the mileage increases the sigma just keeps getting better and now you've released the ponies - your smile will get bigger!
