Don't forget "Peter's Postulation".
Luggage mysteriously expands to completely fill all the available space and there will still be the need to find 10% more space than you have.

+1 but i bought the Hills Alive luggage and that is brilliant. No need to give up the spare wheel that looks great IMHO

If the spare wheel could be mounted the other way around you could use the rim as storage for some smaller items.
This company made them for Mercedes G wagens, but the principal would be the same.

I wonder if you can put a spare wheel in where there's only a metal cover ? ( I like spare wheels rather than nothing to replace a puncture !! )
