I'm looking for a m3w and have possibly found a suitable car but it's at the opposite end of the country! The local dealer hasn't got anything in at the moment, is there anyone out there local to Newcastle upon Tyne who would let me sit in a car and see if I fit before I travel a long way south? Cheers

I'm sure somebody local to you will help. There really shouldn't be a problem in fitting so get ready to get your chequebook book out! The pedal box can be moved to accommodate tall and short people. I had a friend who owns one and he was about 25 stone, looked like Mr Toad in it, but still fitted in although there wasn't much room for the passenger!

Im too far away but would willingly let you try mine which is set up for a tall person. I'm 6ft 4" and no racing snake. Keep in mind that if you are tall, you may find a later car with the repositioned gear stick and the extra pedal position the only way you will fit. The first car I sat in must have been owned by a Hobbit and I dismissed the idea. But...

Hope you find someone locally

I'd also suggest coming down to Malvern for an overnighter. You can have all day at the factory & sit in one there, even take one out and have a drive. You'll see first hand all the bare bones and options, and chat with people who know.

If you're going to pay tens of thousands, it's worth investing some time and the relative cost is small.

He's an ex friend now! Lives in South Africa and our friend (his wife) and he are going through an acrimonious divorce! Nice people have Morgan's but unfortunately not all Morgan owners are nice people. 99% are though!

I will be back in Lancaster next week, 1st. Nov. if that is close enough? I have moved the pedal box much further forward that the original allows. The guy at the factory said" bigger people than you drive them". I challenge some of those bigger folks to stick it for 6 hours and still be able to walk at the end! So, I think it is important to have an idea of the length of journeys you will be making. Another factor is that one does not want to be riding the clutch pedal all the time and keeping you left foot off it can be tiring too.

Dave, Revolutions in Perth have a used one that presumably they would let you drive. Its 170 odd miles & around 3 hours away. Take a 2 x 2 wooden batten to raise the front of the seat, this makes a lot of difference.

Dave - I can highly recommend the trip to Malvern.I know it's a bit of a drag from 't frozen North but it is well worth the effort.

The factory trip is really interesting with a specific tour of the MW3 facility at the end.If you combine it with a test drive, it could 'kill several birds with one stone' for you smile

I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne and have always done an overnight (or several nights) stay as it's a lovely area with plenty to see/do but I know others have done a there and back in the day - but it would mean an early start!

It probably won't help ,but if you want a sit in an Aero8 , Series 1 , give me a shout.... cheers
