Rylan,

Was the 75th anniversary car for sale the one for sale in Life Motors? If so I'm the one how snaffled it! drive

To be honest I've not driven the 1.6 Sigma car but I do find the 2.0 Duratec unit full of torque.

Apologies all but I'm yet to introduce myself.....I've just been lurking in the back ground picking up ideas.

Andy

Rylan I bought a narrow bodied +4 a year ago trading up from a 4/4 it has the extra power and feels like a 4/4 on caffeine as soon as I drove it I had to have it!!

Welcome Andy.

I saw the 75th at the recent Lifes open day event - a cracker - well done!

Andy,
that is a good combo. The 4/4 lacks torque for me.
Welcome & pictures please

Thanks for the replies everyone, it is certainly appreciated,

The car that I drove was a yellow 75th anniversary model 4/4 which I think is also known as a narrow bodied plus 4 (am I right?), (I think it's name was bumble whilst it was for sale at BHM?)

I would like a narrow bodied +4 but these seem to be rare and also cost around the same as a +4, leaving me considering a 4/4 with some mods etc, the 4/4 I test drove just didn't seem to have the 'get up and go' that the 2.0 car did, I did miss the torque that the 2.0 has.

My thoughts on the 2.0 car I test drove was similar to yours Roger, unfortunately I just wasn't in a buying position at the time,

Rylan, if that yellow car is still for sale, grab it with both hands..

It's been VERY well looked after and is a gem.

Hi Steve,

That is what I thought but sadly someone else managed to buy it before I was able to, was disappointed but cannot be helped.

Agreed - we know the background to Bumble and it must be one of the best if not the best car on the market!!

the 75th at Lifes is also a cracker!
