If the price of a Rolex makes a big difference to your pension you have a problem - or a very, very expensive model on your wishlist.

If you really want a nice watch buy yourself a second hand Omega Speedmaster. You won't loose much, if anything, if you decide to sell it and, in my opinion they make a better watch than the Rolex.

Looks much less bling without the date and coloured dials, 14060 or variation of. The Omega is just a copy of the real thing.😌

It's very straight forward - you get the watch now and wear it and enjoy it until you retire - you flog it then with no loss and treat yourself and others to a retirement cruise if that's your thing. You have no need of a watch if you have got your retirement plans right.
That's not to say other people won't wish you had one on because they do.

Of course this is all based on the fact you wear it to tell the time, there maybe other influences in your decision making of course.

As Hannes says if you are closer than 10 years to retirement this much money is insignificant in terms of a pension.

Yes Peter, absolutely agree. Had a couple of Omega's, still have a Speedmaster mk2 from 1970. Never really wanted a Rolex.

A stainless steel sub would hold it's value better.
Get the watch and work harder!!!
