Ordering this for my 40th birthday. I'm about half saved up for it, which isn't bad for 10 months of budgeting. Here's the full list of what I'm wanting. What's not included is the body matched front fenders/mudguards since that's not on the price list, but they said they'd be able to do. Body colour painted cowl Painted wheels Leather choice other than black or tan Mohair tonneau Photographic build record Heated seats Tall roll hoops with headrests Cream Bakelite Brooklands steering wheel Bonnet louvres Footwell storage box Pin stripe graphics Rear mudguard 3 Eared spinners (x2) Stage 1 AR Motorsport upgrade kit Suplex adjustable platform kit front and rear Vintage bonnet catches Full Morgan windscreen Blockley square cut wheels and tyres Leather storage pockets New dashboard Here's the seemingly not to be updated configurator mockup from their website. I'm going with the Ivory paint and Aubergine dyed leather. For overall look with the pinstripe kit this is about what it'll be like. Minus the Morgan decal on the bonnet, and the wheels will be body matched as well. It seems like the Stage 1 kit is a decent upgrade from what people are commenting on. A question comes with the regard to having the Suplex suspension fitted, vs saving up a bit more and installing an Ohlin suspension myself. I've seen people comment on one or the other but no one that's tried them both from what I'm seeing. Any thoughts on that? Maybe when I get it I'll change my little avatar, until then <3<3 thanks for the inspiration Ken.

Had the Suplex, had the arguments, had the refunds and now very happy with the Ohlins. The Spax adjustable shocks and the Ohlins shocks both give good value for money, albeit at very different prices while the Suplex were a waste of money.

I'm happy with the standard dampers. It depends how you are likely to drive it whether the Ohlins are worth the extra over the Spax adjustable. RedThree drives very vigorously, I know I've seen him approaching me over Cairn o Mount. Save the difference & get the car sooner? The leather pockets are very small enough for a phone, manufacture a parcel shelf yourself, I did. Tim

Like the colour scheme and generally great spec. I too thought the Suplex shock kit was not highly regarded, with Spax adjustable being the best compromise between standard and Ohlins (cheaper too) if you want to fine tune suspension.
I also originally considered the ceramic coated black exhaust given the inevitable front pipe discoloration, but pleased I just settled for black protectors, as about to order Stage 1 MMC kit. This raises another anomally with your spec, the Stage 1 exhaust is stainless finish only as far as I know.

My intent is daily driver but also some mild track day events. I'm not gonna be street racing, but the girlfriend has a little MGB GT and we drive that in a spirited manner as well.
Might eliminate the pockets if they're that tiny, considering I think the new dash has a glove box for documents.
If the suplex are no bueno though, then yeah might eliminate those from the build and go with some spax or ohlin down the road. Either way sounds like spax are better that he suplex at a much better at what I'm reading here?
With regard to the exhaust, while I'd be getting the stage one, I do some exhaust work myself and would eventually like to make my own. I also have a local source for coating at a price better than what Morgan offers anyway so I'd be getting them coated as well.
Tim, do you have a photo of the parcel shelf you built? And Richard, love that narrow boat!!!

I think that will look very good!
Heated seats were not available when I bought mine, but if I did it today I would tick that box. A separate, plug in heater is less than ten pounds, though, so I manage anyhow.
Not sure about the louvres, but I would get the footwell storage box, the vintage catches, the rear mud guard and, by experience, the Blockleys. Definitely better than the Avons.
My "plastc" tonneau cover has ripped already, so I would go for the mohair one as well.
Understand fully that you want to get rid of the original steering wheel, as I have a Motolita.
Still debating if I should retrofit (two eared) spinners and tall roll hoops. No head rests, though. If I had the possibility/ability to make my own exhaust I would not shell out for the Stage 1. There are so many choices of cool intakes on the market, or why not make one yourself, like I did? Start with standard equipment. Save that bit of cash!
Happy for you, man! You will have so much fun!
M3W, now!!!

I did have some internal debate as far as doing the stage one if I'm doing my own exhaust, but with other projects and jobs that need done it'll probably be at least a year or so after ownership that I get around to tackling that. It's mostly just a hobby, but I would like to know if what I make is actually up to snuff as far as the stage 1 kit goes. Outdoing the stock won't be much of a task, but if there's anything to gain over a stage one I wouldn't mind having that as a baseline. All things considered the price isn't that prohibitive for me to get it. Even if it does end up being wall art at some point.
From what I can tell the head rests are removable. I'd like to have something back there just in case, but if it becomes a totally pointless thing to have in there, I can pop them out. Having the option to put them in or not would be nice, vs it being something I want later on down the road and having to order them. Not sure what the QC is like as far as their leather goes, but I've had to get replacements for something and the color three years down the road can be different. And that's not even accounting for any UV fade that may occur.
Glad to see the mohair cover is the way to go, and yeah that cream bakelite is just a work of art in my opinion, as is the whole vehicle, but that's just fantastic looking, and I think it'll work well with the ivory body color.
I am on the fence about the louvers. They're just entirely decorative are they not. I mean the motor is out front, and the transmission is pretty much below anything in there, I don't know that they offer any real ventilation do they?

Just homing in on Lourves. I agree the rear body ones are not functional as far as I am aware so down to individual choice. But the bonnet ones would I hope help cool the oil tank , so giving a welcome cooling effect to the engine which for an air cooled engine is a major plus of course.

Here is photo of my parcel shelf & map pocket. I have since removed the under cowl box in favour of a fishing bag that sits in the same place. The bag is not fixed it sits on non slip mat to stop it sliding around & scuffing. The bag with the wheel hammer & tyre goo sits against bulkhead under the steering column on more mat.
