Morgan Octagonal Wheel Socket
I recall seeing this linked on here by somebody, I ordered one. Today it arrived in the post from here (no link to me etc.). Very pleased with the quality and a top chap to deal with. Lightweight so ideal to have in the car. The tool has a hex nut drive to fit 38 mm or 1 1/2 socket and when used will completely clear all bodywork.

That does look nice.... when I had my wires, getting the nuts off was never easy.

I like it as whilst it sits on the hexagonal part it also goes over the round part of the wheel nut and it makes it all feel more secure and less likely to slip.

Now we need a decent one for two eared spinners and NOT a wooden spanner cause they are as useful as a chocolate teapot!!!

Lionel is a really good chap -- he produces a number of spinner tools. He only works 1 -2 days a week so be patient if you mail him!!
Just a satisfied customer

He makes a two-eared one for the Jaguar Spinners, but he still hasn't got one for the Morgan ones -- the issue is that the Jag spinners have flat sides whereas the Morgan ones are curved. I got one of the Jag ones from him and spent quite a considerable amount of time grinding and filing to make it fit the Morgan two ear spinners -- At this stage it works brilliantly, but you need to be prepared to spend a lot of time "fettling" one of his Jag type tools to make it so
Lionel is a lovely guy and is, he tells me, working on a Morgan specific tool -- He says he is a few weeks away from finishing it, but he told me that this time last year too!! he does intend to do it, but his time is mostly taken up supplying the tools he has already finished, as he only works a day or two a week, so don't hold your breath!.
If he does finish it it will be very good, his work is superb!

I saw a 2 eared 'racing' spanner available for my Healey from AHSpares
Its probably the same fit, if you google them youll find it.but its £200!
I shall eventually change mine to octagonal as I much prefer using a spanner (I have 2) than whacking the thing with mallets!
