Checking out the prices of brake cylinders, I found the MMC price is about £70 each plus VAT whereas a pair can be bought on eBay for £76 including VAT. By way of comparison, I found a cylinder for a TR6 or MG costs around £20 each including VAT.
Is the MMC part made to a higher specification or does this represent the unacceptable face of capitalism?
