I have just tracked down a decent lightly used Omega Dynamic Chronograph for a reasonable price - complete with all boxes and papers.
I am hoping it will be as good an investment as the vixa. Should go well with the Morgan.

22 pages of "A watch suitable for a Morgan Owner" and not one mention of the Omega Chronostop Driver? Surely the ideal match for a Morgan owner; it's from a different era, it's face is twisted round to be easy to read when driving, it's actually desperately awkward to read regardless of driving or not, it's deceptively simple under the skin but still costs a fortune to service...

Terrible photo of my "easy to read when driving" watch;

and the internals just before its recent service/rebuild;

Very cool

There have been some attempts to design a watch that can be worn on the wrist and read while driving but I never knew of the Omega Driver

Like it

Back in 2005 I had the early Omega museum pieces which was a recreation of a 1938 pilot watch. It came with a leather thigh strap which would have been a good idea for drivers except that the dial was still turned awkwardly through 90 degrees as it strapped across the thigh

I think Longines do a watch which has a dial can be turned and Breitling used to do a small watch dial on the strap which you could see with your hand on the wheel

There are a couple of very nice chronostops on that auction site - one has just had full omega service - I was tempted but i do prefer a chronograph.
The pic is great.

Interesting
seems there are two versions available with different orientations of the clock face. The 12 at north or east

Budster's version has the terrible handicap of actually letting him tell the time at a glance! That'll never catch on as a feature in a mechanical watch.

Over 3000 Euros! I may have to revise my ownership plans...first offer over 2800!

Don't forget the modest Bugatti driver's watch... £250k or thereabouts:
