I don't think it adds anything to safety! Its more a question of not getting smacked by the low hoops

I got them. Smaller versions seemed pointless and I wanted pads for them anyway. Sadly these pads are not designed to be removable e.g. For driving 1-up. Works better for me as I am tall, "feels secure" wink if driving without a lid. Mounted reflectors on their backs. Pity they don't align with the centres os the seats though.

So I'd order them again, but as ever with an M3W, "each to their own"!

Hold on, you can't remove the head rests/pads? Ouch. Maybe bespoke hoops, then.

The back of the headrest bit is screwed to the hoop with some cap screws, comes off quite easily

Yes but leaves the tabs for these screws hanging in the wind... hmmm maybe they would make a good mount for the GoPro? wink
