Still in break in mode, 100 miles down with 400 to go.

Then we'll change the timing by changing the ECU.

Morgan & S&S have it locked up tight so you can't change the timing.
The factory ECU has made adjustments for the larger cyclinders and EFI 58mm but still locks you out of changing the timing and with larger cam openings the timing can make a lot more power.

Just the extra 8CI's there feels like more torque but the open exhaust has made the throttle response so so so much better. A simple fix to bore out the baffels and the extra exhaust noise is connect to your foot. Easy on the gas and it's not too loud, press down on the gas and so to does the exhaust.

after breaking in the new 128CI motor for 500 miles it started to go into skip mode right after warming up.

My S&S dealer here in Boca Raton sent a copy of my ECU file to S&S where they said my engine is not getting enough fuel so I have a new ECU and an updated engine management file for the 128CI needs. My dealer can now custom tune for the larger pistons, bigger cam openings and 58mm throttle body.

It will be interesting to see what the power increase will be?
or how much did the locked Morgan/S&S ECU rob power away from the standard stock 121CI motor?

My S&S and Confederate dealer is American V Twin in Boca Raton

Just had the new ECU installed on the 128CI
S&S sent a new program that can be adjusted for fuel and timing.
Need to get 300 miles on The Carrot to see what the difference is
First impression seems to have more torque but nothing overwhelming over stock. (When building a V8 a change in cramming and bore normally you hear a big difference in the idle from the cam and a big power difference, not here yet)
So not sure about spending big bucks ($8,000) on stage 3 but stage 1 is probably the best move for an upgrade in opening up the exhaust and intake that delivers the best bang for the money.
Either way I just love modifying my toys.

More after this new tune settles in and we feel what the final results are.
Cheers and happy flying

Excellent, is it just confederate.com that you got those valve covers and the cam cover from? Cam cover looks sweet but might be a bit much for what I'm looking for, but I've been trying to hunt down some finned valve covers with little to no luck. I just love the way they transform the look of the motor. Those plain chrome valve covers just seem uninspired to me.

I bought the confederate products from my local dealer who has a long relationship with confederate. See Roberts info above if interested in ordering.
The valve covers come in brushed aluminum or the blackout look with brush aluminum highlights, (What I bought).

Painting the moving parts you see thur the clear crankcase cover makes for a very interesting motor sitting out from.

Plus you can keep an eye on belt damage and wear.

Richard: That oil cooler setup is interesting indeed.

JV: I was wondering about those cam gears if they were aftermarket parts or if you'd done that to them. I like the way they look. I'd almost be tempted to do a body match on them, is that what you did? Or are they more red? Hard to tell, could just be lighting.
