Yes still on the oe Contis...they now "squeal" on corners when driven with gusto.
Every change you make shows up shortfalls on other components..so in time new sticky tyres will be called for.
Cain + others recommend Avons...but pricy .
Lets see what Father Xmas brings. Yokohama avans are trackday tyres which can also be used for the road , nice and sticky , work fairly well even in the wet , and are fitted to new plus 8's !

Hi madmax, this is the dilemma, I only write so enthusiastically about the T Trac2 because it is a very usable offer for the right dimensions, 165/80/15. Yokohama Advans are...among the best for road use at all what I read and in the past I had AD07 on my Elise, terrific tyres but of. ourse not available for 1965 Beetle dimensions.
The T Trac2 is the tyre most domestic care services will use on their Citroen C1 etc. but it is a F1 tyre in comparison with the OEM Conti. (better to say in comparison with this Conti type, in different dimensions Conti has better quality).

Yes so he says. Interestingly at 0:18 on the "Magic of the Morgan 4/4 | INSIDE evo" Video she wears Avon cr6zz if I´m not too wrong. At least in Germany the speed rate of the Conti would not allow the narrow 2.0 litre Plus4 fitted with Contis.
