I put the three belt sprockets on a lathe to spin them and with a small brush to paint the outer lip. I think it took 6 coats of paint till it looked good.
Bought a spray can of orange paint that looked very close to my body color.

LED light inside is a nice option that this case cover has.
Still like the look of the Confederate unit.

Nice, wish I had lathe access, If I can find a close match in powder coat that might be my way to go with them. Otherwise just careful custom spray paint match and probably some masking. Either way I really like the way those look in there. Keep the updates coming.

I now have about 10 trips, 100 miles on the new 128CI motor with a new ECU and updated S&S running file.

I do hear a difference in the exhaust note, more pronounced punch of each firing.
I can ride around in 4th gear at 2,000 RPM without any drivetrain banging and it will accelerate up from there very easily.
The really noticeable difference is how easily it rev's up and down now. Its smoother, seem more efficient and rev's up to 5 grand nicely.

just wonder what the red line is for this motor?
not sure how hard to push it since it keeps on revving up the tachometer.

more to come.

cheers!

PS also added Coco fabric weave orange and black floor mats
reduces some road noise too besides looking/feeling nice!

The X-wedge manual quotes:

Exceeding 5,800 RPM under any circumstances may damage the engine!

He is running a 128, so chances are the red line will be different.

I think I'll keep her under 5,500 just to be safe

Maybe, but the manual refers to 117 CI engine which ironically has longer stroke than 128 engine.

Look forward to seeing how you think it compares!

It was supplied by the factory to a former member of TM with the 128ci motor, who then sold it through Dennis Utah. Do you know who bought it and does he post on TM?

I know the guy who bought the 128ci M3W from Dennis Glavis. It currently is garaged outside of Chicago with the second owner. Anyone still here lol? I would be happy to share more details.

Hi Derek, Is he a member of the group? I also have a 128 inch engine that came from Morgan. I believe they had 2 engines, 1 went into the green factory car, and now I have the other fitted on mine here in UK.

Rob no he is not a member of this forum but I believe he did register with a Morgan Group a few years ago. I am actually the owner's son and made my profile here years ago but just came across it and this thread again from a google search. Seeing how I know there aren't many 3 wheelers from the factory with the larger engine I figured I would post.

Do you know of any others from the factory with the larger 128ci engine? His first Morgan was a 2012 or so 3 wheeler with the standard engine. We saw this one and he decided to upgrade. It was such a difference compared to the stock model. Sounds fantastic and seems to be a little more aggressive and pull harder.
