Chanteclair,
I'm not totally convinced about this -- the third photo looks grand, but the first one I'm not sure about. I think perhaps the side pieces are too wide - I would reduce the width to just about the width of the overriders, perhaps a cm or two outside them for ability to fix to the mountings. There again it's your car and who am I to suggest changes!!!!! ooo

I like the look of the lower cowl, but not keen on the extra bits.

However - Here's a beautifully finished aluminium jobby on e-bay:
Item number - 250576860847

And one not quite so alluring:
Item number - 290395378499

innocent

John (Sprinty) could have done with that second one last year smile Though a cast alloy skidplate might have been better innocent

Should I think about the first one for the Drivers' School at Prescott in June? flag

Cheers,

I also like the spot light fitting, can you send me close ups?

Are they Cibies?

[quote = Robbie] Basilisk,

Exact.

Keith,
The beauty of Hellas is that many of the models are a lot thinner than most spots ( in marked contrast to Cibies which are often tubby little so and so's)

That( and the quality) is the reason a lot of people go for them ( I think Graham put up a post dealing with this when he was talking about his MGB)

The parent company- Hella KGaA is in Lippstadt, Germany but if you did want to chase up availability, then their UK headquarters is based at Banbury, Oxfordshire

I got some spare parts for one of their lamps a few years ago and I do have a telephone number: 01295 272 233. They may be able to point you in the direction of a stockist?

regards,
G

Yes - Colerne was an expensive day out with a new tie bar and sump!
I think that may even be my car in New Elms modelling the grille!

eBay is quite a good source for new Hella spotlights.

There are a few businesses that retail them via eBay. A search using "Hella spotlights" will turn up a selection of options. I've also found eBay a good way to unearth suppliers; often if they aren't listing the type you want, they can sometimes source them. smile
