More than 10 years ago I was looking for a four seater sports car (not a Tin-TOP Zip-TOP), and a Morgan was one of the few available as I wanted the all pleasures of a vintage car but without any of the hassles. Then I drove one. Then I drove another, and another. That was it. The rest is history as they say. I still have the same Morgan today, and I get the same smile from it.

Steve; and somewhere I still have a picture from the Le Mans 24 hour 2006 of your 4 seater alongside Stanley. We were all parked up on the circuit on the Friday prior to the race.

Was that Le Classic? Incidentally, Quinton used a photo of me driving under the Dunlop bridge as the cover for this year's VinMog tour booklet - or so he tells me. No, it was the 24 hour. I was there with the Vagabonds and we were heading for lunch at a winery. We parked in a line beside the circuit (I think at Indianapolis)

That would be on the inside of Arnage. Possibly the last time cars were allowed to to so. I remember someone having a conversation in broken French about the relative power of our Morgans. Mine was 100 chevaux, your (I think) was 200 chevaux, then a +8 racer was 300 chevaux. That impressed the French. No, it was the 24 hour. Steve: 200 chevaux for Stanley!!!! No chance, more like 125. The 300 chevaux +8 was Richard Plants. You could here it coming a mile from the camp-site (Cowsheds) We headed off to a winery after the photos, then onto a barbeque at a chateaux. Much wine was consumed and the drive back to camp somewhat erratic.

They are great things to share with your children and grandchildren they all love a trip out on the Moor.
They just make everybody smile and you meet a lot of nice people along the way, most of whom have had an association with a Morgan at some time.
