I totally agree he is a future world champion.
But don't forget when he was in second place Hamilton easily pulled away and what's more didn't make a single error in the race.
If you put them both in the same team we would have a rerun of Prost and Senna how exciting would that be?

Better to stay at Red Bull, they are capable of building a winning team.

As a life time F1 fan, and regular complainer here about how dire it has become, I must completely agree with you all. This must rate as one of the all time great drives. What a champion he will be when the current Mercedes dominance ends as it must in the great scheme of things. Even the Memsahib is now watching F1 and her interest in cars is minimal in fact if asked what car we have she would answer "a white one".
Please, don't wish him onto Ferrari, I feel it would spoil him. Although I love everything Ferrari they are not the force they were and they have always been very political and played favourites.
If Red Bull can get Renault to produce a slightly better engine then that team under Christian's leadership will produce another run of world championships. flag

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Totally agree - amazing drive with fearless work choosing different lines and positioning himself for gaining position. He shows similar skills in the dry but the wet allows him to play even more.

For those watching F1 back in the day he reminded me of Jochen Rindt in the wet.......staggering skill level.

I remember him well he was very talented - they still have the Lotus in which he was killed at Monza impounded subject to a manslaughter enquiry. Lotus were very fragile cars where less weight meant more bad accidents.

Jacky Ickx was another rain master it is a unique skill displayed by just a few and for me it is the difference between a great and a standard F1 pilot.

Lewis did well being the man out front he set the pace - ok at least he had unobstructed vision for the most part - but he had a good race.
