The facebook site is a fairly obscure one specialising in Solex moped and Morgan memorabilia and odds and ends.

It's called Club XB Collection.

Counts me out then. I don't and never will, have a FB account.

Drives me nuts that people think a FB page is a substitute for having a web site. Any serious business should have its own domain. I have two domains and I don't even have a business anymore.

I can understand that totally it is frustrating trying to follow things like this watch for example to find it's some half ar8ed page that conveys nothing but an image.

I only joined FB initially as No1 daughter has put all the children photos (I know) on there, so no choice really for us.

I have met some other nice Morgan owners globally through it I have to admit and I know other TM'ers have too.

A bit of thread drift (oh no! Thread drift on TM. Unheard of!)
The cost of owning you own domain and hosting is really very small when you consider it gives you control of your own email addresses and the possibility of setting up a simple web site and gallery for family use. You can make it public or private or a mixture of both. Cost should be less than £75 a year tax included. Beware of so called free web hosting services: they are supported by advertising. My Italian hosting costs me less than €75 a year. A website package such as WordPress (probably the easiest to use) can be downloaded for free.
If you create a domain and have hosting that gives you an unlimited number of email addresses you can have one for all the family; for example fred@jonesfamily.uk (I've checked:that url does not exist at the moment) .

I wonder how many of these things are approved by Morgan. They are, after all, using a proprietary trade mark. I'm sure its ok if you are making something for yourself but it is another thing altogether to slap it on an object that is made for sale.

I would suspect none of the watches - it doesn't take much for an Asian made watch to have a Morgan logo printed on the dial and sold through eBay

+8Rich,

Thanks for your post, I will continue the search just for fun as it wouldn't be a watch I would buy.
In terms of actual Morgan approved watches, as far as I am aware, only Struthers with their rebuilt ones using old Omega movements or the famous Hublot Big Bang which I almost bought last year (used, £8,500)in Bond St but I decided against it. It will probably be the one that got away.
By way of consolation, I do have the official Morgan launch DVD and associated paperwork.

Here for a good time not a long time!!
