Trouble is that it is a Morgan bonnet and what was made for one car will never fit another, unless you happen to be unbelievably lucky.

In interesting find - an unusual fireguard? Or maybe a classic sledge in the making (no louvres helps)!

You could always start with the bonnet and build a car to fit it! Perhaps that is what Morgan should Bl**dy well do. Instead of trying to reduce costs by using cheap screws etc. They could invest in a few simple jigs and make all bonnets (and mudguards in 3 different standard widths) off the shelf items. It would save a fortune in hand making parts to fit every individual car. But then what would I know production techniques

Bonnet louvres were an option , I believe, in the late 60s and early 70s.Terry

Top louvres were optional extra, side louvres came as standard.
Dad paid 40 shillings for a set when he bought the 4/4 new in 1972
Interesting find, it looks as though the front hasn't been trimmed to fit the cowl so this is probably a spare!

Yes it did. I feel guilty now for not counting them. Shame on you For the dedicated louvre counters: it has 8 louvres per side, and no top louvres, therefore a total of 16 louvres. I was up there on Thursday and I thought to provide this public service
