This is a photo of Vera I took from the B25 returning from an airshow in Michigan last summer. I swapped places with one of the Mitchell crew members who had never had an opportunity to fly in the Lanc.
Vera's last flying day was November 11. After the Remembrance Day flight she's back in the hangar for the winter and it's maintenance time. We are changing the main undercarriage tires this winter, a process which is somewhat similar to assisting an elephant to give birth.
