I've done exactly the same-they're going to be fed up with us!

The Frontline MGB uses similar wheels. Might there be a back door? http://www.cheshireclassiccars.co.uk/news-archive/the-mg-le50

As I said before I would think it is better to give them time until the 80 Anniversary cars are sold. Of course they have to be loyal to their client in first place. Ok but what's about the damaged wheel ?

they've made all the 4/4 80th cars, that's why they're considering making my 4/4 any moment now!

The last of the Anniversary cars are in build now and a "normal" 4/4 is also in build.
You can't blame the factory or Image Wheels in refusing to supply the Anniversary wheels....to do so would take away some of the exclusivity of the 4/4 Anniversary cars.
Image do similar wheels as previously mentioned...the ones used on the LE50 as DaveW mentioned, are rather tasty and I'm contemplating those for Nero.

The mini speedster thing was how I got involved in buying a new Morgan. I tried to order one of the new 4/4 'speedsters' only to be told when I was at the factory they weren't legal and couldn't be sold and had been removed from the website. I pointed out that they were still in fact advertising the car on the website five minutes previously which was met with an embarrassed silence and a quick conversation with the MD ! All of which has led me to believe that in many respects Morgan doesn't always get its facts straight! I totally understand why they would want to keep the 80th wheels exclusively for that model, but personally I didn't care for most of the other features of the 80th (apart from the brooklands wheel) so I think it's worth asking the question, possibly more than once as they seem to make it up as they go along. If they have a pile of them left over in a couple of weeks they might well decide to sell them!

Yes, they have-same info obviously, but with the addition that Morgan have asked them not to make the anniversary wheels generally available, as was pointed out that's entirely up to them but I wouldn't have wanted the 80th 4/4 as it wasn't to my taste, although I did really like certain of its features (the wheels particularly!)
