Hi,
Have got 4/4 on order for delivery on 1st March 2017.
Very excited - this is a lifelong ambition - even my grandson is called Morgan (guess who will inherit the car!!!)
I am going to watch part of the build, but bearing in mind I don't want to go more that twice, anyone any idea of when the best time during the build schedule to go to the factory would be?

I went the 2nd day when wings & bodywork were being put on then again when it was in trim. I also went in the middle somewhere as well.

First, congratulations - you have chosen the pick of the range in my (biased) opinion. Your dealer will be able to help you choose when to visit in the build process (the actual schedule, not the one you have been promised right now...).

For me, the most exciting times to visit were:

a) When the rolling chassis and the wooden frame were side by side in the metal shop, with the aluminium panels, doors bonnets etc being hand-made to fit. Take a marker pen and graffiti the ply panels liberally with messages for your great-grandkids when they refurb their inheritance.

b) In the trim shop. To watch these guys work is fascinating - and it's the point at which your car becomes uniquely your spec.

Enjoy the agony of waiting!

Twotribes, I agree with you, and just add ask the craftspeople to date and sign as well.
Take loads of pictures in a) such as front suspension, handbrake routes, rear axle for future reference.

Enjoy the whole experience. There is nothing like it.

I can't believe mine is now over 5 years old.

Hi AndyA and welcome to the forum. We met our +4 just before going into paint. Love to have seen more but I think that was a good point.

Welcome Andy, from another 4/4 owner.
I can't quite see the factory from the upstairs window, but the hills loom large (and a tad frosty today).

Hi from another Andy and welcome!

You've made one of the best decisions you could have made in buying your Morgan. I bought mine from new in 2013 and have loved every moment of my ownership. Not just driving such a great car but also meeting so many wonderful people with a common interest. My advice is get involved with the Morgan community, you won't regret it.

You will of ourse be aware that the favoured colour of the cognoscenti is red, red cars are faster. It's a scientifically proven fact.

Enjoy the anticipation!

Andy
