So far they have already put a lot of extras themselves

Well the members here seem quite gentlemanly!
Of course i will open the passenger door ,although my role may be to help her get in
That's my 1st issue..getting in.I tried left leg first and nearly pulled my hamstring! Then another method with my legs stuck wrong side of wheel
I have yet to see a YouTube video covering that
Not v elegant ...probably need to stretch the leg muscles first !

Sit on the seat with both legs out, then swing them in.
Reverse to get out.

The alternative (which I'm prone to use) is to lunge the left leg down the footwell, and freefall into the seat. Then swing the right leg in.

I think the problem with 1st option was getting left leg around steering wheel
I also tried the 2nd method ...that's what nearly did my left hamstring
John Cleese probably would lift left leg OVER wheel based on his walking method !

Ah, the entry/exit learning phase... Yes, I remember it well, as does my left leg.

If you're a porky six feet two, rather like my alter ego Eric, ahem, then the adopted method is to poke left leg in and under steering wheel with foot turned out Chaplin style, and poke it in to pedals.

Lean over, sit as best one can, and lean toward the passenger door to get enough room to double up the other walking thing and try to miss the paint/leather/sill.

Legs down, belt up and away.

Getting out is a similar pantomime, but getting out with the roof up is best done in private. Seriously..!! These cars ain't big.

Hit the "quote" box in reply mode - and er welcome to TM - you just have to do the gentlemanly thing whilst the skirted lady is entering your car and hold the door and look the other way..

As Steve says getting in and out with the roof up is a controlled crash - not a pretty thing.

Congrats on the purchase.
You realise that you now face shopping trips!
swmbo will discover she needs a "Morgan wardrobe" of warm, windproof, waterproof clothes!
You will also be sucked in........
Then there will be noggins, day trips, longer trips......
A fabulous world is in front of you.
Enjoy it all.

My entry method?
Door open
Right hand on steering wheel, left on passenger seat top.
Lean over and kiss co-pilot on cheek if she is already seated.
Left leg into footwell near tranny tunnel.
Swing bum over and right leg in.
Drop into seat.
Grin.

Firstly, welcome and enjoy your Plus 4
Worth getting one of the excellent Morgan Polar Fleece Blankets for your good lady. They are available in red and blue.
