My pal lives in Melbourne - and has his Morgan out there - its his only transport.

It a 1988 Ford 1600cc 4 seater - he needs the Exhaust Branch manifold gasket.

I am going to source this for when he visits here at New Year.

Which engine would this be?CRV?

Many thanks!

I have the chassis number.

It'll be a CVH engine, Neil. You can get a complete top-end gasket set from Burton Power for a touch over 20 quid, just check whether his engine is Carb or Injection. If he really needs only the exhaust gasket it's just under 3 quid and it's the same for carb or injection engines.

For any Ford engine, Burton are excellent, I ahev used them loads of times and have always been happy.

If this is the gasket between the manifold and the exhaust then I suggest buying at least three. When we had our CVH engined car, Mike Duncan told me that "these fail just for fun".

Agree - Burton are very good.

Got my last one (4 years ago) from a Ford dealer.

Neil, it would be the same as my car, I would be interested in the Chassis number to see how far apart they are. I have a massive amount of engine spares if he is interested, P M me.

..and ordered from Burton - £6 inc of p&P

He will be delighted!

Am sure he could source this in Aus - but it seems difficult for him for some reason.

He has been a pal for 40 years!

When he got married he hired a 4/4 to go away in.

We tied kippers round the exhaust - so that it would smell - very childish. They just burnt and filled the cockpit with smoke!! ooo
