One day you won't be here to get it out of hibernation!

Many Mogs never hardly get driven from new , they just sit there garaged , people like looking at them , they can't do the driving bit !

Well if this warm spell continues, I can imagine a few Morgan owners putting their cars back on the road

Looking at the forecast for Sunday up here in the North West, Sunday looks again like a good driving day and the warm rain will have washed all the salt away

My Plus 8 is not...
Will be out next week.

I know of a couple of other S1s that are in hibernation. But then the S1 should possibly be considered to be a "Classic". A 2014 Plus 8 isn't and needs to earn its keep.

I totally agree Sunday looks good so fingers crossed the forecast is right. We are already planning to use the Mog to deliver Christmas presents to family and friends.

I don't SORN my Mog - trad.
Two reasons.....
I enjoy driving it.
I need a second car as swmbo uses the tintop.
Buy a cheap runabout to take the Mog off the road?
Only under certain conditions :
Car needed work that took a long time.
Otherwise I would only SORN her if I was unfit to drive for a significant time.
There are plenty of decent weather days to get out in addition to the errand runs and golf days.
Yesterday I gave her a good wash including the underside which is well protected anyway. Perhaps wing liners/mudflaps would help so another consideration...

We're all very lucky.
Nobody NEEDS a Morgan, it's because we WANT one that we drive them.
I would wager that 99% of us have "normal" cars for everyday use doing the mundane stuff, shopping etc leaving our Morgan's for use purely as enjoyment. Personally I don't enjoy driving either of my "fun" cars in poor weather, to me they are to be enjoyed when the weather is dry and warm. Driving my Aero (or my TR6) in the cold and wet with the hood up is just miserable and really not for me, I've got a nice comfortable warm and dry Volvo for those days!
I used to have a Cobra replica with a huge pokey V8.... I used to drive that in the cold all the time, I'm older now and it's completely lost it's appeal.

Pretty much my take on it as well, not much fun on filthy roads that are greasy, especially if someone pulls out on you with no Abs..
Plus I tend to find this time of year I do more in the house, as for visiting places I would take the Morgan its much less frequently if at all..so no real use for it,

I get my Mog fix by looking at this forum at the moment laugh2
