Nice return trip to The Blue Ball Sandygate Exeter to meet up with some old friends/colleagues - very nice a solid 90 mile return and you don't need alcohol with a Morgan.

Well not my Morgan, another type of Mog - a Moggie Minor - in for its MOT today.
Its very misty, damp, chilly and dark tonight with a thick coating of salty slurry from the recent cold weather - horrible conditions. What do i see? A lovely bright red Morgan re-fueling in Horam, East Sussex. Top down with a well wrapped up female passenger as well.
Good on 'em - feel almost guilty that my Morgan is tucked up in its air-tight permabag with just a de-humidifier for company. Its staying there until that salt goes however.
The other Mog - the minor, has had a hose down under the arches tonight-amazing what just 20 miles of main roads had deposited under and all over it.
If that was you in Horam tonight i salute you!

I had glorious sunshine in NE Scotland on Sunday but only one or two degrees, roof and sides off, heater full blast and heated seats, needed a scarf and trapper hat but otherwise, toastie. Still haven't figured out how to post pictures but if you imagine an oil painting of the best of Scottish countryside and a Saxe blue Morgan in it, you'll get the picture.
Picked up Nero from the factory this morning after having full bumpers fitted. It really changes the look and I now have a firm support on which to hang my Cibie Oscars!

Minus 2 when I went to the garage this morning. The pug has a tyre slowly deflating so the cover comes off the mog. Almost six weeks since it has been started due to travels down-under but a couple of days ago I did give the battery a few hours on the charger. I need to get to the airfield so I take care with the choke and throttle settings. One third choke, three pumps on the throttle. It turns rather slowly, as though that 20-50 mineral oil has the consistency of cold molasses. Which it does. But at about the sixth turn it fires and settles down just as it always does. The drive is top down and no side screens and my extremities are not sufficiently protected i.e. I need woolier socks, better gloves and a woolier wooly hat. But people smile and laugh and I know there is more to it than just driving. The season has been extended and the mog is transformational.
