It was pre-73, but there seems to have been a legislation change. Quite where people stand now I haven't a clue - perhaps follows the zero rated car tax years?
The answer must be on one of the government web sites...

It follows the rolling exemption but there's a contradiction in two parts of the legislation, so it's not 'clear cut'.

Prior to 1st January 1975 but must be registered as an historic vehicle with the DVLA.

Bumbling down to Crazyhorse to sort heater- it needs a new motor so will go down again when they have it , nice service there , great people , and the cafe is excellent. Fantastic to drive the Mog , it creates a stir everywhere it goes , some golfers at Fornham all looked round as I was rumbling past and smiled !

Thanks RICHARD, hope to see you at a meet soon, or even a coffee, my throttle bodies have been dispatched I believe so I need to get some driving done and then do the changeover. Not sure they're a meet for a while. Coffee or something stronger sounds like a good idea.

Had to get out as it was a glorious sunset here , bumbled down to the nearest town and put her in second cog to make some lovely noises bouncing off cars and walls , people turning and staring in amusement or disbelief at the four pipes sounding off ! Childish I know !

Took advantage of yesterday's rain washing all the salt off the roads to get out this afternoon and enjoy the +4's newly found zest following the engine management system thingy upgrade. Cold though!

At long last my car came back from the factory today .They were fixing out paint problems on the wings .
Collected it from Revolutions and had a blast up the A9 .
Very happy to have it back .

Sounds great, but will have to wait for a while. Wound up in Joondalup Emergency Department Sunday, I have a large bleed on the knee ( Legacy of taking Wafarin). The knee is swollen and I am back on crutches again. A couple more weeks rest in bed with ice and elevation and then start the exercises again. One not very happy chappy
