I would suggest smearing some Vaseline around the areas you cleaned with emery paper. This will help prevent oxides forming that will reduce the electrical contact between the cable terminal and the attachment.

Ok something is screwy I changed all the ground wires new solenoid to starter wire new ignition switch new battery car started right up went for ride everything ok 2 day later dead nothing when I turn key ready to pull my hair out

When in none starting mode.
Use jump lead between battery negative and engine see if it helps with issue.

I'm wondering if you've got a dicky ignition switch. I'm assuming you have the combined ignition and lighting switch (Lucas PRS3 )
I've had issues with these on the +4 racers
They drive you scatty with intermittent faults.
Replacement replica parts are available and are of good quality
Check inputs and outputs using a multimeter with the switch still in the car
If you have power coming in but none coming out, then there's your problem...

I had the same symptoms on my Caterham recently, long story short, the battery charge light had become disconnected ( there's no light to tell you that).
I hadn't noticed it didn't light up during ignition, so the battery would go flat after a days, I recharged it a few times before I realised what was wrong, by which time, the battery was also ruined.

I'm having the car re wired in February it needs it 50+ years takes it's toll now I'm going to eliminate the headlamps because this problem started after a night run the first time I ever turned headlamps on
