I just walked my son through starting a new game and getting to the point when you can buy your own car. I think you have to go through several different races before you get the option of the autoshow(or whatever the thing was called where you buy new cars). It's where the dlc option is. Took 20 minutes or so.

My favorite game mechanic in Horizon is the barn find bit. Every once in a while they'll say there's a barn find somewhere and you drive around a section of woods or farms looking for it, then find something interesting that gets restored for you.

Ok here is my conclusions. Its an arcade game, not a sumulator. I have a 900 degree rotation steering wheel and Forza lets me use 180 degrees. Very twitchy! Its fun in its way, but Asseto Corsa or Project Cars feel more real.

Yeah, vanilla Forza can be more sim like, especially when you adjust the settings, but it still isn't a real PC sim. Forza horizon is pretty far from that, but I've had fun playing it. Particularly when I felt like I had played all of the big racetracks in the world and was picking up the latest Forza for a small tweak in graphics and whatever new cars came out in the last 2 years. Then the road races and barn find mechanics of Horizon are refreshing.

I have tweaked ot to where it is fun to drive now.
