Grundy quoted me $1000 a year with $64k agreed upon value, Allstate is only $700 without an agreed upon value, an hour and a half from Detroit.

I would pay the difference for agreed price for replacement should something happen to The Carrot.

With Allstate You'll only get 3/4 of the replacement since it's missing a wheel !

I had my '40 Willys insured through Hagerty for $80k for $900/yr. It was with full coverage, wrecker and stated value full pay policy. Prices must have come up a LOT...

Have a look, the difference between me, in Redford, and Charlie in Ann Arbor. For comparable coverages $4014 vs $2175!

Is it insured as a motorcycle, or a car? When I got a hold of someone on the phone they weren't sure what it was, and when they found out it qualified as a motorcycle, at least here in Texas they said "Nope, we don't insure those." I can give another call though and find out. I mean I don't have one yet, but was trying to get that duck lined up beforehand you know.

I just days ago got mine insured through Hagerty. My M3W is registered in Texas. At any rate, I went through their website and never talked to anyone on the phone. Took about 2 days, and you can specify the date that it kicks in, if you know the actual delivery date(ha hahahahahahha [gasp] hahahahaha).

What if you need to make a claim and they find out you live in Maryland?

My wife is army and temporarily stationed here in MD, though we're residents of Texas. It's never been an issue that I remember(my father was in my entire life growing up, everything registered in a state we didn't live in). I may go back through and read the fine print, and make sure I put the state that I'd be driving it in as MD.
