Any new owners in the Poole/Dorset area?
I've been in contact with John at Phoenix Design about making a storm/cockpit cover for the new Aero and he suggested I either make a template with an old bed-sheet which he can then develop or someone more local to him take their car for him to do the needful... Given my suspect 'dress-making' skills I reckon the latter is the way to go in the first instance....
Anyone out there nearby to Phoenix?

why do you need one? Are you assuming your new car will leak?

Johns covers are great!
I see mine all the time.
It takes about 30seconds to put over the cockpit. Great as a basic security device, perfect if wet weather threatens and ideal if it is raining.
Btw am a committed hood down merchant!

It's a Morgan - course it will leak, that's why I went for extreme waterproof leather!

I've had no problems with mine but then I live in the south.
It might be worth asking John to send you one of the older aero covers first to see how that will fit. If you take some pictures with in on the car this might be enough for him.

Ah, I see... a good idea to have a cover for the roof, in case you have to park under trees. I'm 45 minutes from Poole - but my S5 is 6 or 8 weeks away. If you don't have a solution by late Feb, let me know :-) Will

Anyone out there nearby to Phoenix? With John, to make the Aero Supersports, we did like this: He sent me an Aero8 cover, I marked where and how it should change, and sent it back to him. He sent me an updated draft, we fine tuned it, sent it back to him and received the final one. All this from Uk to Italy. It took longer to write it here than to do it I found this:

To give you an alternative. Sailmakers make thousands of tailored covers for boats every year and the end product is very much the sort of thing you would have for your car. It might be worth having a word with one. Maybe someone like the sail loft in queensferry. It would have the advantage that you could take the car along to them to measure up.
