I'm interested in buying luggage for a 4/4 boot rack. Please let me know if you have anything suitable.

I have a waterproof bag which unused very successfully on a trip to France and Spain which is surplus to requirements now. Not very pretty but very useful and keeps everything bone dry in the heavy rain

Hi.

You’ll find you have ample opportunity to spend a fortune on Morgan Suitcases and luggage straps, but if like me you’re a bit of a miserly Morganeer, you could do worse than check out Mossman Trunks ( http://www.mossman-trunks.co.uk/en/creat...rain-trunk.html ) who will happily make a bespoke case to your own specifications for about £100.

I’ve had a couple made for me, both in dark blue to match the colour of the car but in different sizes, and I’m very pleased with the results as they’re very well made. (When I paid a visit to their premises near Wisbech to enquire about bespoke cases they were keen to use my Morgan in their promotional material, so naturally I negotiated a bit of discount! Whilst I was there I also suggested they contact MogMag to see if the magazine would be interested in running a ‘Handmade In Britain’ feature on their company as I thought it would fit the bill nicely, but whether this progressed any further I know not as I no longer subscribe to magazine).

And as for luggage straps, I bought a couple of leather belts from Big Men Online (http://www.bigmenonline.co.uk/belts-c102x1648883 ) that cost me a total of £36.00, which is a huge saving on the Morgan ones. They’ve performed excellently and look the part, too.

I hope this helps – and it might even save you £500!

We use plastic hard case with a length of duck tape over the zip if the weather looks dodgy.

We bought a genuine 1957 Revrobe suitcase. It cost £40 and is like new.

It is just so retro. And looks perfect on the car.

I had a local saddler make me a set of straps.

Hi, Bill,

I have one of the Morgan brown leather suitcases (see Luggage section of the shop). Came along with the Plus8 when i bought it - lovely item but horribly expensive to buy new. Never been used, still has cellophane wrapping on handles. Comes with waterproof cover and leather straps to attach to rack. Let me know if you are interested. Chris

I adapted a pair of motorbike cases.the rack they lock on to fits onto the car luggage rack. It all locks in place and no straps needed. The cases are waterproof of course and unlock from the rack so you look completely normal at hotel reception.
