I had looked around for someone fitting that double filter but couldn't find any images. Can't say I'm a fan of it kicked off to the side like that. Makes sense on a bike where it's facing forward. Though likely in practice it wouldn't make much difference, just look asymmetric as all get out.
Is $500 - $600 the price people are seeing on the unlocked ecm systems? just wondering as "loads of money" can be subjective.
Barring having to tweak the ecm I'd be tempted to weld up something a little more symmetrical than that kicked over to the left hand side intake.

GTG. know what you mean in the big picture of things, but we already have an ECU and its just MMC stopping us from getting a remap,.They do a remap, guy up the road had his done took 4 weeks and he recons hardly any difference,KH give graphs and rolling road readouts to prove the difference,

I think Garage 56 do a mappable ECU for around £500 .

@skull, understandable, but in dealing with ECUs in cars, I've never had a situation where I can just plug in and tune it. Gotta get a programmable ECM in just about every situation.
Are the S&S/Harley bikes tunable in stock form? I'm honestly not familiar with motorcycles so I don't know, but this seems like par for the course as far as vehicle tuning goes.
Now if MMC is doing something to specifically lock them down when every other EFI x-wedge motor comes with a tunable ECM out of the box, that's a bit shitty.

Yes that's my point MMC do lock it down only they can remap ! And they don't even have a rolling road! Don't know about newer HD mines got a carb .

I ran G56 filter and stage 1 pipes for a year with no problems.
Have now had a remap at MMC they did it whilst fitting the cooling fan as the ECU needed flashing anyway and said it would effect the fuel consumption but I haven't noticed any detriment, it has a little bit more oomph at the top end now compared to the stock map.
In fact I averaged 39mpg overall on this years Swiss run to Grindelwald over 1500 miles in total.

The ECU in m3w is self learning I've been told up to certain perimeters so ok for stage 1. Remap adjusts ign timing and injector duration to suit better gas flow from better air filter and exhaust system......

I had my MMC Stage 1 fitted in 2 stages.
With just the air filter changed it ran very slightly better but still pinked at 5,000 rpm.
Fitting the exhauts (about 2,000 miles later) freed the engine up and transformed the car.
All on the stock ECU without any remap.
