I´ve the chance to buy a lovely +8 ... perl grey / red leather /wide body / new condition.  Question : The chasisnumber is R12131 . Is the car the long door version ?! Thanks for comments . __________________________ Oliver

According to Morganville that's a 1999 +8, but I would have to look up when the long doors were introduced. My gut reaction is that it's a long door. Graham will probably know the date of change......... Update - from the Morgan MC website: In 1997 the production models were extensively overhauled, with the standardisation of the new Aluminium superform wings (all except the 4/4), longer doors, redesigned facia to allow for airbags the introduction of a 4.6 litre V8 version and generally improved materials throughout.

My +4 is from Aug 97 nd is one of the last short door versions.
It should be a long door if from 99

Long doors arrived late '97, Sept/Oct? ('98 model year).

Hi Oliver, would agree - should be a long-door +8. Congrats if you are the lucky buyer! Hope to see you with and/our without a traditional in Hamburg this year (remember?!)! All the best from the "high north", Jochen  P.S.: am happy to know you healthy & well up - i heard about a VERY very VERY bad accident with an Aero in/near Stuttgart region.. luckily not you and/or your wife!!!

Hi Jochen, thank you for your notice. Today I had a very successful business-day in Munich. After the negotiation I´d seen the +8. Very nice car. Have to sleep one night !
